Andrew started his shipping career on the Traffic Department of a Liverpool based container line and after a brief spell with a Ro/Ro Operator in London moved to Piraeus where he worked in the Operations Department of a charter operator. After two years in Greece he joined a ship management company with whom he spent 6 years in Bermuda and 6 years in the Isle of Man. He is experienced in the crew and commercial management of a varied fleet of bulk carriers, gas tankers and oil tankers.
He gained his Law degree as an external student with London University and on leaving ship management in 1991 spent 12 months at the Inns of Court School of Law. He joined what is now Davies Johnson & Co as an employed Barrister and in 1994 sat the qualified lawyers transfer test and became a solicitor.
