Having worked on superyachts for 5 years Charles took a degree in Law at the University of the West of England. He qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and was made Associate at Davies Johnson & Co in 2007.

Charles is instructed by the major P&I Clubs and private shipping and trade companies. He has comprehensive experience of litigation in a wide variety of shipping and trade matters including: Charterparty disputes, Bills of Lading, International Commodity Trade, Commercial Agents, ship build, repair and yacht disputes.

Charles also has significant non-contentious experience in matters such as sale and purchase contracts, storage contracts and employment contracts.
